Newham faces another legal challenge over casino decision

The London Borough of Newham faces a second legal challenge to award a casino licence to an operator in Westfield’s Stratford shopping centre.

Last month, a consortium including developer City & Eastern challenged the decision because the bid would not deliver regeneration benefits.

Now another rival bidder, casino operator Apollo Genting announced that it had launched a bid for a judicial review of the decision.
