London mayor Boris Johnson is in talks with central government to benefit from land receipts from the sale of Olympic Park after the 2012 Games.

Speaking earlier this week, deputy mayor Edward Lister said that negotiations were focused on the Greater London Authority getting a larger share of receipts from land sales in return for taking full responsibility for the debts owed on the land.

Originallly, it had been anticipated that the government would pay the £231 million outstanding on the land and take the lion's share of the receipts.
